Things happen for no reason at all, but they create opportunities.– Max
You might feel that everything happens for a reason, and we agree it might be true for all of us. But, when you watch this movie, a lot of your thoughts might change.
One of the thoughts that most one-side lovers have always had is that what could they have possibly done to change the relationship with their crush or expected-to-be partner. Let us tell you, When we first met, is exactly for you.
Ever keep spinning around in the same relationship, over and over, and it’s just going nowhere?– Carrie
So let us break it down for you.
When we first met is a movie about the guy Noah who feels that he met his “The One” in Avery. Fast forward three years from there, Noah is out-of-nowhere listening to a speech from his, to-be partner on her engagement party with Ethan.
What happens next is the most unexpected plot twist which seems like yet another cliched love story. The movie was released long back in 2018 and it is available on Netflix. Here are our thoughts on the performance, plots and whether it is worth your time or not.
Let us take you through the When We First Met review.
Noah meets Avery at the Halloween party and instantly realizes that she is the one. The whole night goes amazing for both of them but at the end of the night, Noah gets friend-zoned and feels that due to one wrong move, or missing out on the wrong moment he lost Avery. He wakes up three years from there and struggles badly to move on. This leads him towards alcoholism and then he attends the engagement party which becomes the worst one he attended in his life.
Then he finds a small photo booth in which he clicked pics with Avery on the first night they met, and realizes that he travelled 3-years back in time to the day when he first met Avery.
What happens ahead is a real treat and we would not like to reveal everything since it will surely ruin the fun of the movie.
When We First Met Cast consists of five major actors namely: Adam Devine (Noah), Alexandra Daddario (Avery), Shelley Henning (Carrie), Andrew Bachelor (Max), and Robbie Amell (Ethan).
Adam, Alexandra, Shelley and Andrew have done amazing jobs and justified their respective roles very well. Robbie has done an amazing job as a supporting actor too.
Overall, the performances of all the actors were great and to the point. No point in the movie would you feel that you are watching something forced. The acting is natural and the cast seems to know their characters very well.
When we first met is a great watch. Although at the start it might look like a cliched love story, it is so much more. It has a deep message sent in such a casual and subtle way, that it all seems like a fun journey towards the message. Hats off to the writer John Whittington for doing an amazing job writing the story.
