Rise Web Series Review – A Ride Of Life

Life is the world’s most underrated journey that has everything we expect from travel. People want to travel the world without realizing their life in itself is a new world. There are checkpoints, milestones, opportunities, unpredictability, and so much more associated with life.

However, we all still want to get inside the other side of life where we complain about things we lose, material happiness, and so on and so forth. Although none of us including me have ever thought beyond material happiness, it is the truth of life.

Rise is the YouTube web series that describes everything about life in such an entertaining way that no where do you feel that you listening to a preachy lecture.


Vikrant Massey is the lead actor in the series. He is one of those actors who gained popularity in web series and OTT platforms. He has also done an exceptional job in Mirzapur. However, the series we are talking about is old enough and the actor has done a fabulous job.

Kumar Varun has a small role, yet he does justice to every second he is seen on-screen. Plus, being a stand-up comedian he is very good with comic timing. So no surprises there, yet a good job.

Atul Shrivastava plays Mr Sharma. His character is very unique. He plays the role of a 55-year-old man who is all about life. Mr Sharma likes to recreate the movies he loves. He is seen sharing experiences with Vikrant Massey which slowly builds up the essence of the show.


Rise is the story of a guy who pushes himself into corporate life. Shrey, played by Vikrant Massey, is a bike enthusiast who has worked hard as a software tester for an IT company.

The series starts with a guy who arrives at his office on his new superbike. He had saved enough to make sure he can buy a lavish bike. However, on the same day, he is laid off by the company on the name of recession.

He comes back home and tells his dad that he wants to sell the bike so the money pressure is finished. His father reminds him that it was his dream to go on a bike ride and asks him to go for it.

The deeper you fall, the higher you rise.

Everyone in the series has done an extraordinary job and made the series an instant hit among the audience. Shrey (Vikrant Massey) plays the role of a software tester. The way he has managed to showcase the frustrations of corporate life, the love for bike riding, and everything is commendable. If you are aware of corporate life stress, you are surely going to relate to his emotions.

Mr Sharma (Atul Shrivastava) has put forward the concept of life in a very entertaining way. He is playing the role of a person who wanted to be an actor at his young age, but due to responsibilities had to leave the dream back. At the age of 55, Mr Sharma finds a way to fulfil his dream in a way that no one would have thought of.


In the world of OTTs and movies, YouTube web series are somehow overlooked by a few people. But the kind of thought and storyline these web series bring is just unique and out-of-the-box. You might have seen a lot of videos and movies that motivate you in various ways. But you might have hardly seen a series that is entertaining and motivating both at the same time.
