Coronavirus pandemic has struck hard and the whole world is seeing the most unexpected and dangerous affects all around. You cannot deny the fact that the world is taken aback with the way it is affecting almost every sector negatively. People have been asked to stay home 24*7, asked to work from home, several people have lost their jobs, and what not. Then there are Doctors, Nurses, Policemen, Military men, who are working day in and out for our safety.
In such a difficult scenario, where most people who believe in socializing or going out are facing difficulties in staying in all the time. We are going to enter Lockdown 4.0 coming 18th May and the state is already in a bad mood. So, what should you do when you are locked down so bad, that you can barely get out of your building?
Here are the 5 things you can do to keep yourself locked, entertained, and most importantly safe in this pandemic.
We are all seeing the effects of pandemic in the short time and they are not at all good. Businesses are losing clients and revenue, employees are losing jobs and facing pay cuts. But in the long run, this problem is going to worsen. Therefore, start filling your arsenal with the advanced studies of your domains. Working on individual projects, learning new technologies, completing certifications should be your priority. Basically, you have to start working on all the things that are going to help you stay relevant in the competitive times coming ahead.
Multiple Income Routes
You might have a well-paying 9-5 job right now, and helping you keep up with your daily needs and savings. But, the future looks a little shaky for the full-time employees. This is the time you have to think of focusing more on saving and investing and less on spending. Try generating multiple income sources that will earn you a little more income. It could be SIP, mutual funds, shares and stocks, bank deposits, anything that will make your money to work for you. There are many blogs and resources online to help you understand the investments chapter better.
Follow your Passion
Binge-watching is a great way to get your mind off the stressful day at work. Your work might be quiet stressful at time and watching Netflix may not be the only solution to relieve the stress. Try doing something that will help you grow and stay productive all the time. It could be something as simple as reading your favorite fiction, but do it. Following your passion is the best way to relieve the stress. It will not help you take your mind off work, but also build a income source if you do it right.
You don’t have to completely eliminate watching your favorite series on Netflix or Amazon Prime videos. After all, we all need to keep ourselves updated with the latest hype on social media to understand memes, right? I am sure you are all aware about Pataal Lok releasing today, and of course the YouTube vs TikTok. It is entertaining and fun to watch too. I am currently watching Dark on Netflix. Comment the name of the series you are currently following on the OTT platforms.
Last but not the least, spend a lot of family time with your family. You might be a college student, intern, employee, or an entrepreneur, I bet you all may be hardly getting time to spend with your families in normal days. Enjoy some activities together with your family like playing Antakshari, Tambola party, board games, helping your Mom with household chores. There is a lot. I am helping my Mom with household chores and learned a little about peeling off different vegetables. Yeah I know it sounds really naive, that I cant do them, but it is never late!
At the end, just one important thing to remember. Do not underestimate the power of coronavirus, it is on a killing spree just like you are in PUBG. So, read some good things, understand how the world functions, spend some time with your family and stay happy.
